License for Contractors in California

General Contractor License B

Authorizes the licensee to manage construction projects involving two or more different trades or crafts, with framing or carpentry as the main activity. The licensee cannot undertake projects solely involving trades such as plumbing, electrical, or HVAC without additional licenses for those specialties.

Electrical Contractor License C-10

Authorizes the licensee to install, place, erect, or connect electrical wires, fixtures, appliances, apparatus, raceways, conduits, or solar photovoltaic cells. This includes any components that generate, transmit, transform, or utilize electrical energy in any form or for any purpose.

Low Voltage Systems Contractor License C-7

Authorizes the licensee to install, service, and maintain low-voltage systems up to 91 volts. This includes alarm systems, audio and video systems, intercom systems, telephone systems, and other communication devices.

Painting and Decorating Contractor License C-33

Authorizes the licensee to prepare surfaces and apply paints, coatings, and coverings, including painting, paperhanging, and specialized coatings that protect, waterproof, or enhance buildings and structures.

Arizona Contractor License

Low Voltage Communication System License C-67

In Arizona, this license permits the installation, service, and repair of low-voltage systems, including alarm systems, telephone, sound, intercom, public address, video systems, low-voltage signaling devices, and landscape lighting, all of which do not exceed 91 volts.

Nevada Contractor License

Low Voltage Communication Systems License C-2D

In Nevada, this license permits the installation and repair of low-voltage systems up to 91 volts, including telephone systems, sound systems, cable TV systems, closed-circuit video systems, satellite dish antennas, and computer networking systems.
